History - Once Hoogh Straet ( high street) by the Dutch and then Duke Street by the English, Stone Street was renamed one last time in honor of it being the first paved street in New York City. Observe this notable craftsmanship first hand by dining al fresco right outside on Stone Street. Surviving colonization, World Wars, the Great Fire and Great Depression Stone Street has stood the test of time and Stone Street Tavern is proud to be part of this iconic historic landmarked neighborhood.

Located in the heart of the Financial District Stone Street Tavern is a historic gem that like its street namesake has stood the test of time. This charming old world niche is a unique step back in time and alternative to the traditional Wall St. steaks and suits.

A unique experience to New York City in itself, Stone Street is closed to traffic so that all along the street guests can drink, dine, soak up the sun and some history of a neighborhood pertinent to the founding of New York City.

Equally inviting to locals and visitors alike the historic charm of Stone Street Tavern draws people in from far and wide offering our hospitality, our food and drink and a little piece of New York City history.
